The Lightkeeper's Ball by Colleen Coble
The Lightkeeper's Ball by Colleen Coble is the 3rd in the Mercy Falls series, but it stands alone well. This romantic mystery details a journey made by Olivia Stewart from New York City to coastal California at the turn of the century to discover who killed her sister.
The story is very well written and kept me wondering until the very end who was guilty. I also thoroughly enjoyed the historical references throughout the story. The turn of the century was filled with so many wonderful inventions that we now take for granted. Reading about the joy of discovery helped renew my thankfulness for all the people who were willing to take chances in previous generations.
Coble does an excellent job of building relationships among her characters and interweaving their faith into the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys historical fiction, romance and a good mystery.
I was provided a free copy of this book by Booksneeze for review.
