Knowing God - 2 Chronicles 6:14

(from Pastor)

"O LORD, God of Israel,
there is no God like you in heaven or on earth.
You keep your covenant of love with your servants
who continue wholeheartedly in your way."
2 Chronicles 6:14

If someone who didn't know God asked you to describe your Lord, what would you say?

We couldn't give a much better description that the words King Solomon chose when dedicating the temple in Jerusalem. Solomon proclaimed that God is the covenant keeper who is in love with his servants.

Faithful and loving. That's who God is.

And in the simplest terms, that's all he asks of us. "Continu[ing] wholeheartedly in [his] way" means being faithful and loving too.

In Christ's Love,
a guy who wants to be just like "Dad"
------------------------------------------------------
"There is no God like you" ... Aren't we fortunate to have such an amazing God?  I know I don't obey like I should. Believe like I should. Have faith like I should. Love like I should. But He is always faithful and loving.  That was the covenant He made ... wholeheartedly.
