Knowing God - Matthew 2:13

(from Pastor)

... remain there until I tell you ...
Matthew 2:13

This verse implies two things: 1) God has a plan, 2) we ought to listen.

The context is the Holy Family -- Mary, Joseph, and little Jesus -- going down to Egypt to escape Herod's wrath. 1) God had a plan: For the Christ child to continue to live! 2) Will it pay off for his parents to listen?! Absolutely ... it will pay off for Mary, Joseph, the baby, and a thousand generations.

1) What plan does God have for you? 2) Are you willing to remain where you are -- even if it is in a wilderness as dry as Egypt -- until you hear a word from God?

In Christ's Love,

(a desert creature with big ears)
--------------------------------------------------------------
I do not know God's plan for me. I know he tells us that he has a plan for us, not to harm us, but for us to prosper, have hope and a future.  But often his definition of words and ours aren't quite the same.

There are times when a person can wait and times when they must do something. Take action.  There are times when waiting for an answer while taking action is the best course.  Even is the action is wrong ... God can help you correct it and get back on the right track.
