Knowing God - 1 Samuel 3:18
      (from Pastor)

    "It  is the Lord;
let him do what seems good to him."
1 Samuel   3:18
Don't you just love that simple and profound logic?!
But is it really simple?
The context of these words from Eli, the priest, were not simple. God had just shown the prophet Samuel a hard future for Eli. Meaning? When the immediate future looks bright, it's easy for us to say, "I trust." But what happens when we can only see trials for the foreseeable future? This takes a longer-term perspective and bigger-hearted trust.
In Christ's Love,
a guy who knows the future looks bright
(and is willing to wait for it when trials come)
----------------------------------------------------
What seems good to God. Not always what seems good to us.  We are impatient, worldly, short-sighted.  God is patient, heavenly and eternal sighted.  The hard part is letting God do what seems good.  We know the end of the story. We know the guys on the white horses win.  We don't know the in-between.  It is hard. It can be lonely. scary. painful. daunting.
