Judges 1:1-3:6; Judges 17:1-13

More fighting - with the Lord's blessing.  The different tribes helped each other out defeating the various enemies. However, they did not drive everyone out.  The lord punished the people...the remaining enemies were to be "a thorn in their sides."

Israel continued to be disobedient.  They could not defeat their enemies, they did not listen to the judges appointed over them.  Israel then had no kings. No authority.
