Ecclesiastes 3:1-6:12

(so I was a day early - today you can hum the Byrds today)

3:12-13 I know that there is nothing better f
or men than to be happy (cheerful, joyful)
and do good while they live.
That everyone may eat and drink,
and find satisfaction in all his toil--
this is the gift of God.

Not all gifts are easy to accept.

3:21 Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward
and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?"

I don't know about you, but I firmly believe that I will see all my former puppies in heaven!!!

4:9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work:
If one falls down, his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

So - when you reach out to others and get seemingly rejected - what do you do?

5:2 Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.

Or as Hubby said, "So shut-up!"
