Know God - John 6:15

When Jesus realized

that they were about to come

and take him by force to make him king,

he withdrew again to the mountain by himself.

John 6:15

 

Don't you wish more leaders today would follow Jesus' model?

 

Instead of basking in praise, what if every compliment meant they had to go spend an hour alone on the mountain with God.

 

What if you and I did that too?

 

In Christ's Love,

a guy who wants more godly leaders

(and as leader, needs to spend more time

on the mountain with God himself)

Jesus was about to be taken by force to do something he didn't want to do - so he withdrew. by himself.  Was it really a compliment? However, how often do we withdraw when we are being forced to do something we don't want to do? Or hide when given compliments? I know that during a recent recognition service, I did not stand to be recognized when I had every right to.  I'd rather quietly do what I do and get no kudos for it - but see people enjoy the results.  


And we all need to spend more time withdrawn with God.  It is so hard to carve that time in this day and culture.
