Job 35:1-37:24

Elihu is still speaking. He is telling Job that his wickedness and righteousness only affect man and the sons of man.  God is above all that.  God wants us to listen to him. To obey him. To worship him and give him his credit.

I like 36:16 He is wooing you from the jaws of distress to a spacious place free from restriction, to the comfort of your table laden with choice food.

comfort food. from God.  Mac and cheese better than Mema's?  But at this moment in time, my appetite is gone and even my absolute favorite food in the world doesn't sound appealing.

Elihu then asks Job is he can explain the water cycle.  How does God do it. What makes the clouds hang in the air?  Can you do that?

He ends with the following: 37:23-24
The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress. Therefore, men revere him, for does he not have regard for all the wise in heart?

Job was seen as wise and righteous.  Is he still regarded by God for his wisdom despite his anger at the situation?
