Numbers 7:1-89
This chapter goes into such detail about offerings at the dedication of the Tabernacle. 6 covered carts full and 12 oxen. And it was shared among the Levites. There were 12 days of offering - each tribe had a day. Afterward, Moses went into the Tent of Meeting and spoke with God. Not at, not to, but with. Implies a conversation...
Even today our offerings to the church are what to minister/pastor/priest have to live off of for them and their families. I think we so often forget about the human aspect of our tithes and offerings to the church. It isn't just a building with those associated costs. It doesn't all go out into the world to help others. It stays to help the leaders of our many flocks.
