1 Kings 1:28-40, Psalm 25:1-22, 1 Kings 1:41-2:9, 2 Samuel 23:1-7, 1 Kings 2:10-11, 1 Chronicles 29:26-30, 1 Kings 2:12, 1 Chronicles 29:23-25

(lots of page flipping today!!)

oops - I read too much yesterday and included the first section from Kings.  Solomon's first act as king.  He could have killed his brother, but let him go home. The first action of a peaceful king.  He was also givens orders from his father, David, on how to deal with certain people who tried to harm or help David.

Psalm 25:4-5 Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths;
guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long

David is praising God, asking for forgiveness and asking for Israel to be redeemed as a new king takes over. David reigned 80 years as king.
