Convo with Pastor - Proverbs 2:5-6

Too many people say that "they try and try, but can't hear God."
For the next several days, I want to share with you a technique
I've learned from T. W. Hunt in "The Disciples Prayer Life."
It's a three-step process: 1) read a passage of scripture,
2) ask "What God is saying to me?" (each day I'll give fewer hints),
3) pray, "What I am saying to God?" (reflecting what God said to you).

SCRIPTURE PASSAGE

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths. --- Proverbs 2:5-6

WHAT GOD IS SAYING TO ME?
  1. VERSE 5 - Trusting in your own understanding is deadly. Rather, we should trust God completely.
  2. VERSE 6 - If you seek, God will answer by leading you.

WHAT I AM SAYING TO GOD?
  1. God, forgive me for not trusting you. For relying on my own means. I am scared to trust you fully, with all my heart despite knowing that is what I need to do.
  2. Help me to seek your will, give me the strength to not give up and the desire to follow where you.  You will lead me where I should go, I just need to follow. To grab your hand and allow you to be my guide.
  3. additional prayers Thank you for trying to direct our paths inspite of ourselves.
