Exodus 30:1-33:6

The details continue...
... building an altar for burning incense.
... atonement money. a 'ransom' to the Lord for not bestowing you with plagues. God didn't want the rich to give more or the poor to give less.  Each is worth the same.
... washing basin - wash or die.  Hmmm...sounds like a new bathtime motto. no?
... annointing oil.
...incense - for God only.
... sabbath.  Keep it holy.  The sabbath is a reminder of God's work for 6 days and then rest.  Do we really do this in this day?

Then God gave Moses two tablets of the 'testimony' inscribed by his finger.

Meanwhile... back at the camp, trouble was a-brewing.  The impatient people were tired of waiting for Moses so they asked Aaron to build them a golden calf.  and he did.  God was angry at these 'stiff-necked' people.  But Moses interceded so no harm would come to them.  :::whew:::

But

they were very stubborn. Aaron lied. Moses broke the tablets - written with God's own hand - people died.  And God sent a plague on the people. Then God told the people he wouldn't be going with them because they are such a stiff-necked people.
