Exodus 25:1-27:21
"The Lord said to Moses" - don't you ever wish you could honestly write, "The Lord said to me" ??? I can't wait to actually hear him talk to me. Not read it. Not deduce. To hear him. To have him vibrate the air going into my ear canal so the tympanic membrane vibrates to make the three smallest bones in our body move to enter the cochlea and make those tiny hairs bend and wave and send their signals onto our brain via the acoustic nerve... that is how I want to hear God.
anyway
God gave Moses very specific instructions about what types of offerings to bring, how to decorate the Ark where He would dwell in sanctuary. The table, the lampstand (why almond flowers?), curtains for the tabernacle (wonder if both sides of the curtain were beautiful or if one was a mass of threads going every which way), the alter, the courtyard and the oil. Very detailed.
