Knowing God - 1 John 3:2

... What we will be has not
yet been made known.
1 John 3:2

Pastor missed a day so I decided to try my hand at this. :-)  (Don't worry - his will be posted when he has time to write them!)

We are not yet what we are to be. We are a constant work in progress. Just like a great work of art ... you don 't know what the artist is creating until they are finished.

God is working on us. We are his art work and what he is creating us to be, to do, has yet to be fully discerned.  We will only know in eternity what our purpose on earth was for.  Until then we are being formed and shaped.

God's lump of clay ...

Absolutely better than I could have done!!!

And I love the words "will be" and how you understood that to mean more than "a work in progress" -- but "an art work" in progress.

Your faith is growing by leaps and bounds ... even though it surely feels like you're crawling. Why do I say that? 1) You just called yourself a masterpiece! 2) You just called God's plans a masterpiece -- even when they don't make sense. 3) You expressed your longing to submit to his hands as clay submits to a potter. Too cool!

And here's the best part. Your mind knows those things. What you're doing is telling your heart. And the heart is stubborn. But the more you keep telling it, the more it becomes real!!!

It's painfully, painfully slow some days ... but only when you look at the day to day. Look how far you've come!

In Christ's Love,
a guy who's watching the master do a great work
