Numbers 16:1 - 18:32

Numbers 16:1 - 18:32

A group of Israelites called out Moses and his 'decision' on who was holy. Moses tossed the ball into God's court ... "You and your followers are to appear before the Lord tomorrow."  Sounds like they are being called into the principal's office.

Moses asked for something that only God could do to prove he wasn't acting on his own ... and God did.  The earth opened up and swallowed the men, their families and all they owned and closed back up.  Haven't you ever wish for the earth to open up under you?  Be careful what you wish for ... God has done it before.

The people were still angry.  God sent a plague, but Aaron stood between the living and the dead to make atonement. Just like Jesus who stands between the living and the dead to atone for our sins.
