Numbers 30:1 - 31:54

Vows and pledges. If a man makes one, he is to do everything in his power to keep it.  If a woman makes one and either her father or her husband forbid her from keeping, she doesn't have to.  It goes along with submitting to your husband in the new testament and honoring your father.  Not always an easy thing in our independent age. 

The Israelites went to battle against the Midianites at the command of God.  One of the people killed was Balaam - wonder what happened to his donkey? Israel lost no men, but only the young Midianite girls were spared.  Of course there were offerings of gold for God's faithfulness and mercy.

Do we bless God like we should for delivering us?
