A Study of Proverbs
Pastor describes Proverbs as 'wisdom literature. In a dangerous world, it's heavenly advice to help us stay on a godly path.' But he warns - they are wisdom NOT guarantees!!!

Pastor instructs us to start with 1:17 and then read one random verse each of the next 31 chapters.  Then, write the theme for the proverb.

1:17 timing and care
2:9 understanding and discernment
3:15 wisdom is priceless
4:15 Avoid trouble.
5:8 stay away from trouble
6:6 character and lying (according to Pastor)
7:1 obey and remember!
8:10 God's instruction is priceless.
9:10 understanding and knowledge
10:9 integrity
11:13 trust
12:11 work is good. fantasies won't feed you.
13:5 righteous
14:7 avoid foolishness
15:18 patience
16:16 priceless
17:3 testing by God
18:21 words, the tongue
19:11 patience
20:13 Be alert and diligent
21:13 take care of others.**
22:6 positive child rearing.
23:12 learn and grow
24:17 be nice to enemies
25:6 avoid arrogance
26:20 avoid arguing
27:5 don't hide feelings
28:22 be generous
29:26 God first!
30:6 keep God's word pure
31:21 help others

What themes do you need help with in your life?  I am thinking patience.  and avoiding trouble.  taking care of others.
